The season there is a great new show on TV called Glee. It is a funny and sarcastic look at High school. THe cast meembers are all stereotypes of high school students.
The football captain, and his cheerleader girl friend
The mohawk guy
the nerd
the gay guy who has come out to his father
the dumb blonde.......
Each show has a few musical numbers and it really is fun. Most of the actors are from Broadway so the singing is great.

I love Glee!
Mind you the School Staff are rather dysfuntional folks.

This is one of my favorite quotes from the show:
"Then they mixed their sperm together and used a turkey baster. To this day we don't know which one is my real dad, which I think is pretty amazing"

It is a pretty neat show, garnering high praise from my brother, who is quite fussy about TV. I love it, too.

Haven't seen it yet ... but might have to tune in since Being Erika has finished its season - I sure hope it gets renewed! Anybody watching that?

I watched the last couple of episodes online. I quite enjoyed it. Who knew? I started to watch it on TV once and could not get far.
I will likely check in on it now.

I found it online and watched....The writing is interesting, if a bit spotty... The funny thing is that since I am interested in Media and Cultural Studies, I tend to look at TV through the lens of that: I wonder if the 'mistakes' in GLEE are intentional and meant to be meta-textual commentary or if the writers simply didn't see the gaps in the narrative they were creating.

Yes, but I find them a great contrast from the somewhat 2D charactorizations of the students...
I LOVE Sue...

You can watch it on-line at the webpage connected to this link or you can check out the Global TV website for scheduling information. You can watch all the previous episodes at the Global website since the 1st season is over. I'm not sure when the second one begins.

My family put the cd on during a christmas get together for a laugh at one song with special lyrics pointed out by an aunt ... "I bust the windows out ya' car!"
Um. Thats all I know about it.

Glee is awesome! As I have posted many times, my children are singers so we were glad the show didn't disappoint...it was a Glee Christmas for my eldest...both soundtracks and she used gift cards to buy the series on the 30th.
The show has inspired my daughter and after the Charactor Rachel sang "Rain on My Parade" in the season finale she performed it at school on the last day before Christmas break at a music concert. She nailed it!!
I love that they did the Thong Song, Gold Digger and my personal favorite...Bust A Move!!!
