Anyone watch Married with Children?
I like it. I think it is funny and takes things a bit too far but really I think that the average All American or All Canadian family is coming down to this. I am more familaar though with guys who lay on the couch all day being supported by their wives and not women doing that. I am sure women do it too I just have not seen it.
What do the rest of you think?

I think Married With Children is a funny sitcom and it does poke at the American family. Sometimes you can tell that Al and Peggy love each other. Sometimes you you think that they hate each other.
Al is supporting his children financially but not spending time with them. How many dads are like that?
What bothers me though is the comment about Peggy just sitting around all day, not even cooking for Al or the children, and living off of Al. She could get a job and certainly she could cook for her husband. But isn't that a stereotype? Steve and Marcie are the good couple but Steve runs off with another women while Al stays with Peggy. Marcie does SOME housework but Steve does his share. Peggy does nothing and yet keeps her man? Maybe there is more truth to it than I thought.

Married With Children is funny because many people see humour in being offensive. All in the Family used to trigger anxiety attacke in me.
