My 15-year-old boy doesn't like church much, finds Sunday school boring, and can barely sit still during the worship service. What he loves is playing sports and running around outside. I'd like to connect him to a christian sports organization but haven't been able to find one in Canada yet. Tried Athletes in Action but it hasn't really worked for us. Anyone know of other christian sports groups for teen agers?

What city are you located in? You might try googling "Christian Sports Groups" for your particular location.

Some church camps have excellent athletic programs, and are not very "churchy." And some congregations have athletic activities for youths. Contact the Youth Ministers of the various congregations of your neigbourhood.

You could also try "Power to Change". Super organization.

Does he go to a Catholic high school? He should try out for one of his school's teams.

I agree with Killer. Around my area you won't find anything like that except high schools. And I know, it's hard to sit still. But even if it's not a christian sports group, if he gets alot of excersize and joins a team it might teach him enough self controle or give him enough of and energy release that he can sit comfortably through a mass. Not to say that your son is an undisiplined wreck of energy, it's just that I play ringette, and it gives me alot of excersize and it's not that hard anymore for me.
Hope it helps. ^-^
