There are some readings from the Book of Job that are part of the current series of lectionary readings. I posted a Readers' Theatre version of his retelling in a blog. Ralph Milton's version is useable in Sunday Worship service as it is only a bit over 10 minutes long. We will be using it on October 28.

I haven't heard this particular story, but I tend to really enjoy everything I've read or heard by Ralph Milton. He came to Victoria to preach in the summer, and people are still talking about his sermon.

Since I am presently working through the book of Job on my non-lectionary thread, as well as in the Lectionary Discussion group I attend before worship on Sundays, I will wait until I am finished to look up Ralph Milton's version. I look forward to it.
I've been a fan of Ralph Milton ever since I first read his "Family Bible Stories" . Written simply enough for children, I find it an excellent introduction to the Bible for anyone or any age.

He also did a beautiful fictional biography of my favourite saint, Julian of Norwich.

That was a wonderful story -- helped get more of a sense of life in a time extremely different from ours.

Yes, I read it, and loved it!
