Moderator Mardi Tindal on "The Jesus Year" (Globe and Mail)

United Church of Canada Moderator Mardi Tindal contributes to this article on "the Jesus Year" as a young adult spiritual phenomena: “Those in their 30s now, as Douglas Coupland said, are the first generation to be raised without religion,” Tindal explains. “If they turn to Jesus, it wouldn't surprise me. Both of my granddaughters were raised without religion. And they both did turn or return to what one might call the "Spirit of Jesus," although they don't belong to any organized denomination or religion.

 

The "Transcendental Spirit" is, of course, universal.smiley
