I volunteer for the Muslim brigade!

No offense but I think this is too much of a hasstle for most people on wondercafe.  I mean, basically building up someone's entire faith over 6 months on the internet is hard work, not to mention time consuming.

That is why I just tell people about Islam, you know, spread the word by dispelling misconceptions and myths.  I show them the greatness of Islam, and if it piques their interest, they look deeper into it (actually I just recently was told by one of my friends in edmonton that I inspired them to read the Qur'an!).  As we say in Islam; "There is no compulsion in Religion".  One should never force religion upon another, only explain and exemplify, and if they want them too, teach.

Btw I don't want to sound like I'm saying you are forcing your religion upon others, (because your not :)  ), I just wanted to point out that throwing tidbtis out there, and slowly building interest and trust are easier than trying to find someone who wants to learn for 6 months.

Start small, then go big.  Push the peanut in a new direction....the opposite....of where it was going. XD

Well i like where the idea is going. I know from expiriance ,that people out the at the franklin graham festivals. sometimes fall through the craks beacause they cant find no church now these events do alot of good and God bless them for everything they do  i fully support there ministry.

But even the small events i saw alot of people born again then two weeks later they are lost again and most of the time it is cause they have no support in place they get the God hype while there and they lose it looking for a church or a fellowship.So i started up a Bible study and i found people were showing up.So in saying all this i think wonder cafe would be a great place to do anything that would have to do with helping people heal and be a place for people to come and find someone to talk to any time .Christians need a place where they can go and talk freely. Alot of people dont get the church thing. and whatever leads people to christ i say try it .

I have been on wondercafe since it open...and everyone here knows that I am a secure christian...

I have spent many years studing the word of the Holy Bible and sharing with others how to apply Gods words in their everyday life......God is to huge to awesome to teach to someone in six months ..I agree....but this is an opportunity to give others the chance to learn and grow from our experiences with God....and the word of God....it is again the opportunity...to begin the journey with God....and learn how to evolve in God with all of His teaching....

Many here on wondercafe would be such great examples of how God works in their lives...even if someone just gave an example of answered prayers...or their testimony of how God changed their lives....this would in itself , encourage others to look into the christian teachings.......

As an intercesser , with church experience, leadership courses and a good understanding of the word I believe I could help in showing others how to start a personal relationship with God.  And others here on wondercafe also have great teachings and experiences they could share to their fellow travellers on the journey from here into eternity.....

Anyone who volunteered would be ask to share some of the personal things in their lives...Like do you have a partner...do you have children....have you had any experiences with God in the past....is their parts of your life that arent working (relationships etc)...this would give us the opportunity to share how God works in our lives and changed and make us grow and learn as christians.....how to apply the scriptures to your life...how to change things in your life with the help of God......this person would have to share some personal things in their life....as the teaching progressed and the person applies God to their lives ...wondercafers could help in sharing their path ....their journey....readers who follow this person...could also try the teachings and apply them to their own lives..if they choose too...a volunteer would be ask to be serious and have an interest in The Almighty God of the Universe and how to get to know Him.

Under a name they assume for this project they would be free to ask questions, learn prayer, scriptures etc....if a person does not have the understanding of God by the end of six months...then I guess we would of failed to provide what is needed to show others a way to walk with God....but at the end of this time...they have applied the teachings to their lives...we know their lives will be indeed different and changed forever...then we have succeeded....

Reader could tune in and see just how God is working in that person(s) life...they would get to know this person on a personal level and watch as the person seek God weekly....of course as I mentioned volunteers would have to be real and sincere in learning...have time to dedicate to this project....I feel it would be exciting to watch others grow in God and an experience a lot of us have gone through and would like to share....I believe six months would give the volunteer a wonderful start and then of course we would continue on with this person..looking for a church etc. and continuing on their journey with updates of how things are going..........

As a personal intercesser I would of course be offering prayers in all areas of this persons life....praying on all things in their lives...at the Open Table...open to the public forum.....

I pray  this posting will give others a better understanding of the purpose of this opportunity...and I ask others who love and know God to share in this experience....
