Where Would Jesus be On Inauguration Weekend?

This is truly a historical weekend in History. Where do you think Jesus would be.

Would he be on the train as it travels from Philadelphia to the capitol or would he be a long the tracks watching.?

Would Jesus be on the stage during the swearing - in or would he be in the crowd?

Would he be at the balls especially the People's Ball?

Would he be in soup kitchens and with the homeless?

Would Jesus be proud of the accomplishments of this man to move past race  and differences in the US?

What are your thoughts?

jesus would be nowhere near all the hullabaloo of the inaguration... he will be with the homeless, with the sick.

and he certainly would not be anywhere near that 'crystal cathedral' abomination, either...

Where would Jesus be...

In Gaza, Darfur, Iraq, Afganistan, anywhere where people are suffering, dying and in need of peace.

Christians no longer take up the sword against nation, not do we learn war any more, having become children of peace, for the sake of Jesus, who is our leader.      Origen (ca. 185–ca. 254)

Hi LB: I see you are quoting Origen, on of those heretical, early Celtic Christian teachers.

Yes, I agree. Jesus would would be everywhere. Wherever people are suffering or treated unjustly, and in need of justice and peace.

Sitting in front of the tube with his feet up and a beer in hand?

The serious answer: Jesus would be working the crowd, preaching his message his message of hope and love, maybe doing some healing. He'd know that Obama's only going to be where he is for 8 years tops and ditto the next guy and so on, and it's talking directly to the hearts of the people rather than a transient leader that will really make change happen in the long haul.

I believe The Christ could be at all of the above places at once. He is said to be One with his Father, therefore He has global consciousness and can (as far as I understand it) focus His attention in multiple places simultaneously. Would His attention be at the inauguration? I would think so, why not? He could and probably does overshadow the hearts and minds of all those that want to peace on Earth. Could one feel this inspiration or overshadowing from their own television sets? Yes I would think so, He has the ability to approach us from the spiritual or the mental planes and so wouldn't have to be physically inside your living room for us to feel His presence. Will this happen on Tuesday? How could I ever say so?  I do worry, however, that many people are seeing Obama as something a little more that he actually is. He is a man with vision and like Roosevelt or Kennedy can inspire and speak the words that people want to hear. But he's not, as some are suggesting, the second coming of Christ or, as others are saying, the anti-christ with promises of peace. (I can't help but think that so many people are so very confused in this world!). Would The Christ be proud of the accomplishments of this man to move past race  and differences in the US? Well, he hasn't really done anything yet. Let's wait and see.

Jesus, if you come, please come to Nashville,

And we'll sing a little song for you.

-The Dixie Hummer

But Nashvillans will have to wait. Tomorrow, Jesus will be in Washington, or so I hope and pray.

Jesus Christ remains, as to where, it does not matter, but I bet Jesus is happy to get rid of Bush, because Bush can no longer say I answer to Jesus Christ.

Well, he'd be with the sinners and tax gatherers.  So, clearly Washington would be the place.

Greetings!

Jesus was where the people were . . . in the marketplace, walking from town to town, at weddings, at social gatherings, in the synagogues, at various person's homes for supper, at the homes of his friends.

While yes, we know Jesus administered to the sick, grieving, and hurting along the way . . . why would we think he would not be at the inaugeration . . . it was where a lot of people were?  Why wouldn't he be along the parade route - also where a lot of people were?  If he went to a wedding why would we think he wouldn't be at the balls?  If he visited the synagogues, why would we think he wouldn'tbe at the morning service at the church the president elect attended?

Jesus came and associated with all persons, why would we think any different if he was here today?  Why, I think Jesus would even have a little visit with George Bush, Stephen Mac Donald . . . after all Jesus has compassion and love for all . . .

Hope, peace, joy, love . . .

I dunno, I have the feeling Jesus would have a lot more important things to do than hang out with rich & powerful politicians in a land of plenty, stuffed fat on the meat of consumerism.

I don't recall that Jesus got any too directly involved in political circles, power corrupts after all, correct me if I'm wrong here.

I'll bet he would be camping out by a far away, isolated stream, communing with the Creator, building spiritual energy to deal with the next onslaught of human foolishness.

I expect he is sitting down some where with a cup of tea reading this and being amused and touched by everyone's interest in where he might be.
