So I've been following Carolla's thread about apple pie with cheese with interest.
Being pregnant I've found that all food goes together. I've eaten some pretty weird combos in the past and now its happening again. This morning breakfast was pop tarts with peanut butter. Last night I was eating cheese cubes and Hersheys kisses.
So for those of you who've been pregnant did you get weird food cravings or eat things in strange combos? What's the strangest thing you've eaten together?

can't vouch for weird combos but it sure beats the alternative. Barfing everything up. Enjoy having full license to eat yer vittles!

I don't know about combinations. I have been sending my honey out to get oreo blizzards quite a bit.
I also crave theatre popcorn.
I also eat lots of whatever is in front of me. Maybe I am carrying twins? No. I have had an ultrasound. I have put on so much weight with this pregnancy it is not funny.

I was pretty sick for quite awhile with baby #1, and not so long with #2. Grapefruit juice (especially not the red stuff) was common at my house.
My weird thing was my sense of smell being totally over the top, and also being jittery (like panicked directions from the passenger seat to my husband..."Watch out for the car!!! Its getting closer, only 7 blocks away!!! AHHH!!!"

I can't remember cravings or eating weird things (other than the obvious pickles in great quantities!) I just know that Mexican food was completely forbidden for several years after I was pregnant. Luckily I can eat it again...cms

I remember that I couldn't handle coffee, no big deal.
But I also didnt' like chocolate and that was a terrible thing to loose.
Glad you are feelign up to eating and enjoying the pregnancy.
And lovely to see the new pic of your daughter.
Did you get married and I missed it or where is that in the scheme of your busy life.?

Today I am having waffles, syrop, and cheese on the waffes for breakfast. I do not believe that is a weird combination.

My sense of smell was also totally over the top ... I use to hate the smell of gas just driving by the service centre.

Me too, my sense of smell was crazy. But food combos - I really liked chocolate ice cream and pickles... some kind of sweet sour thing. The thought of it now is bizarre but at the time, it felt like I HAD to have it.

For me, 2nd pregnancy - my daughter was in cloth diapers, but my sweetheart had to do the laundry because the smell made me ill (and way over the normal scale). Worked out well for me!!

I was so sick during most of my pregnancy I don't remember any weird cravings ... my decisions were mostly what kind of bread to use for toast today. I remember by the 3rd trimester during the Christmas season that mandarin oranges tasted really really good.
My sense of smell has always been acute, but when I was pregnant and I think for even a while after like others here, my smell sensitivity was way over the top.

I was only sick the first 3 months of both my pregnancies. I do remember that the smell of meat cooking made me sick and running to the washroom.

I was also really sick up until about my sixth month anyway. I was constantly throwing up. I actually lost weight in that time. Afterwards though, I made up for it!
What is it with the citrus? Once I could, I ate grapefruit by the dozen.

My girlfriend used to bring peanut butter and pickles to bed. She made me eat some because I was supposed to be having a sympathetic pregnancy.

I ate alot of macaroni with mustard powder. Couldn't get enough! I sprinkled it on top like parmesan cheese. I also remember being turned off chicken and the funny smell of a dry iron making me absolutely ill.
