Computers suck

I have spent much of my day trying to figure out why an automated invoice generation program is crashing. Of course, it is providing minimal information to go on, so I'm mostly looking through the customers that it is supposed to generate invoices for trying to see what's wrong. It's only crashing on one of our branches, so it's probably some stupid, nit-picky little mistake in one of the records for that location. Arranged to work with the programmer who wrote it tonight (to avoid messing up other functions, we have to do it outside business hours) to do a debug to see if he can catch what is causing it to fail. Which will likely mean I won't get in my night bike-ride which is how I relieve the stress caused by crap like this. Argh.
There. That's my rant for today.

Can't be of any help except to say BAH to computer crashes!! Hopefully you will figure out the offending factor soon and get to have that stress relieving ride! C.

Took the programmer and I about 45 minutes over phone and Internet but we got it and, as I guessed, it was a *bleep* user making a stupid mistake that no one has made before in the nearly 8 years that we've been on this system.

It can't be the user, it's probably the documentation.
