So, General Council is coming. And since it is longer than any other church meeting, I don't have enough shirts to last from the 9-15. Plus one day on each end for travel, but those two are optional.
So far I have:
1) "God is coming. Look busy."
2) My "Jesus Saves" goalie shirt that was my avatar
3) My darwin fish that was my first avatar here.
4) this - http://www.flickoff.org/shop/images/products/t07.jpg
So I need 3 to 5 more.
Criteria - easily obtainable, online or in person in Ottawa. No more than $25 Canadian, including shipping where applicable. Can be in my hands in two weeks or less.
No other rules or restrictions. Please, suggest away!

I'm liking this one ... "I am in the world to change the world"
from Syracuse Cultural Workers - kinda speaks to some of what you've been up to lately! And you look so good in red! ;-)

And this one's on sale - $10 (well, probably US dollars ... ) from same place.

I can't help myself ... (must be bored tonight!) A little above the assigned price point, but from a Canadian site ... http://t-shirts.cafepress.ca/design/19719304 - comes in other colours.

Didn't you buy one at Conference - ??

Hi RevMatt,
GC-40 has its own T-shirt.
I know that Hamilton Conference is supplying its commissioners with a T-Shirt.
Given the weather in Kelowna and the ummmmm heat.
Body paint might be an option. You can let Youth Forum paint you a couple of days.
Grace and peace to you.

I have a lame-o M&O shirt already. I was looking for something with a lot more flair.
But it would be better for everyone if I didn't do body paint...

Does it have to be religious or can it be political? There's a hilarious "Homeland Security" t-shirt on that site Holden shared with us on another thread....
There's also this one:

My latest favourite is:
"Let's Pretend I Give a S**t and Leave It at That."
Or you could quote Kurt Vonnegut and Say something like: "If God were alive today He'd be an athiest."
Very cool. No need to thank me.

cate, for sending your child to school in that shirt, I just want you to know I officially love you. If you're ever available, look me up.
More great suggestions! I shall be placing orders soon, I think!

How about a "Kill Your Parents" Marilyn Manson t-shirt? Or, "I'm With Stupid", that one is always a conversation piece.

Those are a bit over the line for what I am thinking, cf. Attention getting, but not to the point of being ignored/written off is the balance in question.

How about a shirt with your kids' picture. I love those. and it will be making a statement.
Serena

I second Crazyheart's suggestion.
You can also make your own t-shirts. I buy plain ones and then get what I want printed on them. I like your coexist avitar too you could make that into a t-shirt or you could get one with
"Not Ready to Make Nice" on it.

My mom's boyfriend has a shirt with a picture of himself on it. (He was given it as a gift, he didn't make it himself.)
You could try that, but with your picture, not my mom's boyfriend's picture.

I just bought my 6 year old a shirt that says "You Are Handsome" but with all the letters backwards... as in, you'd have to be looking in the mirror to read it. (get it?) It suits him quite well...

Update - I really wanted a number of the shirts on that Syracuse site, but they are 3-5 weeks for shipping (so much for the modern age...)
So, back to the drawing board. Maybe that site cate mentioned will be better, if I can track it down.

Maybe people could loan you a t-shirt, RevMatt?
They could post their favourite t-shirt....and we can see if we can make a wondercaravan of shirts, lol

Cate -that Handsome shirt is great!! I bet that would be perfect for Matt too
RevMatt
Posted on: 07/28/2009 14:55
I am many things, Birthstone, but that T-shirt describes none of them...
I have bought the following:
Jesus Loves You, But I'm His Favourite
If you're not Outraged, you're not paying attention.
I think, therefore I am dangerous.
cafepress is much more expensive, and the shipping was brutal, so I am going with only those three.
I did throw in a mug to use at my table, though, which I can't find a picture of, for some reason. But it says: "doing my part to piss off the religious right".

I wish I was going to GC just to check out your t-shirts Matt! Carolla - I love Syracuse Cultural Workers site/catalogue as well. cate - I also love the shirt your 5 year old wore first day of kindergarten.

Ok - so the task for GC WC delegates is to get a pic of the WC flag AND Matt's shirts!
The "Jesus loves you, but I'm his favourite" - that is basically the birthday card my son picked out for his sister "Your birthday is a good time to remember that God loves you. / Not as much as he loves me, of course, but he still does." Cheeky bugger :)
I love the mug. I want to know names of people who sneer at it.

Nice fashion selection ... complementary colour palate ... relevant sentiments reflective of their wearer!
Yah - what's up with the 3-5 weeks shipping??? Don't they know this is the internet, cell phone age of instant gratification?
A great thread to start at GC - "Shirt of the Day" - with accompanying photos ...

aaah, i will try to remember to ask folks if I can take a picture to post on wc.
What a good way to share the message of wondercafe with GC folks, too
Birthstone

You could take a picture of us with you to share too - all your friends at WC. We'd look like, well, um, a white stripe down the middle with a bunch of typing & some little pictures bordered by orange stripe.
