Here's blessings to all those who have been, are, and will be affected by that wonderful heat exchanger of Nature, Irene. May there be no loss of life & property and people get closer, because pain shared is pain lessened and joy shared is joy increased.

When I read your topic heading, my first thoughts were about the song which I first heard when I was quite young and never really understood. Goodnight Irene has sort of been in the back of my mind ever since. I just went to Wikipedia and YouTube to check her out.
As near as I can figure out Goodnight Irene is an old folk song which has appeared in various versions over the last hundred or more years. -Rather unsettling woman, somewhat like the storm -That wonderful heat exchanger of Nature, Irene.

That's interesting, naman :3
In my storyteller's eye, I saw the land & the humans in Irene's path in the role of Leadbelly in his song.

Huh. Strange indeed. Maybe there will be a big 60's style love in peace revival all along the eastern seaboard.
