I am curious to hear about your favourite wildlife sightings? What did you see and why was it so incredible?
This was inspired by a question Baylacey asked over in the Room For All thread about whether anyone in the thread had seen any moose.
I have made yet another video for one of my favorite songs. It's about nature, sexuality, valour, morality, self-control, and the grim reality of natures way, Nature, which both nurtures us and comands our respect. It is about Sir Gawain's seduction by the wife of the Green Knight, an Arthurian legend.
Tell me what you think of nature's grim way? Do you see it that way, or is that a new way to look at it for you? Are you familiar with the image of the green man and what it represents?
Montana is a beautiful land, made of white mud that induces splits if you're not careful, the magical Rockies with their vast single organism that we call Aspen trees (I still think of the soft drink whenever I read or hear that name), flat land that goes on and on for 3 days of driving and fields and fields, hills and hills...
It's easy to get complacent. To even get cynical at all the varying sillynesses that domesticated primates do and think.
Here's blessings to all those who have been, are, and will be affected by that wonderful heat exchanger of Nature, Irene. May there be no loss of life & property and people get closer, because pain shared is pain lessened and joy shared is joy increased.
The Huffington Post has it all.
I was disturbed from my long weekend rapture by my dog barking and hysterical hissing. After prolonged attempts at getting the dog to come away, I was finally able to see what all the fuss was about and discovered this big fella...
I think he is an Eastern Hognose - if anyone can confirm I would appreciate it.
So, I've hit on the idea of doing a series of services/sermons using the classical four elements (the Western version, so we're talking Earth, Air, Fire, Water). There are spiritual images or ideas associated with all four of them and I've decided that gives me plenty of material to explore over the next year or so. I'm doing a general outline right now of ideas to explore for each one, but I'd like to hear reactions from WC in case I'm missing something somewhere. So, what images come to your mind for each of the following? I've added one of my current ideas to each to kick things off.
I spent a morning with my camera and discovered the beauty in the small.
Enjoy!
This little fellow was about the size of my thumbnail.
Or the metaphorical a*muse*ment of a magnificent Muskoka May 24 weekend….
I ironed today. Now for some this isn’t monumental but for me it is – my partner is still reeling from the shock.
I don’t even like doing laundry. I view it as a necessary evil or an excuse to shop for more – clean – clothes: But ironing, my heavens, what an exercise in futility.
Hi all! I strive to find the beauty in the everyday, and the everything. I love photography, and it a major part of my life. Photography is my way to express myself. Feel free to view my photos and comment on the ones you like.

We read and hear so much about what is not going well in our world, but perception is everything. I choose to look at the beauty of the Earth and celebrate her wonder, rather than become overcome with the perceived negativity around us. I am grateful for the morning sunrises and the evening sunsets. I look at Nature in all her glory and see lessons of acceptance in the effortless way she teaches the cycles of life which include death and rebirth.
