Hello everyone! ...overjoyed here and I just need to share!

3rd visit to this lovely little old church and I am falling in love with it!

This is the minister I was led to call about 2 years ago in an attempt to help out another girl like me that had been rejected by her church and told not to come back.   I blame it on being a nosey redhead LOL but I couldn't leave that alone.   That is why I cold called this minister knowing nothing about the UCC or this church.

I hope you don't mind that I wish to report back to you on advice I had received under my "Views on Trangenderism Please" thread from way back.
There I was advised to perhaps explore by visiting another church that may be more accepting than my present denomination (evangelical, fundamentalist).   This agreed well with my spirit and I have followed up on that suggestion.

We read and hear so much about what is not going well in our world, but perception is everything.  I choose to look at the beauty of the Earth and celebrate her wonder, rather than become overcome with the perceived negativity around us.  I am grateful for the morning sunrises and the evening sunsets. I look at Nature in all her glory and see lessons of acceptance in the effortless way she teaches the cycles of life which include death and rebirth.

I knew this girl who could finish a SUDUKO game in 3 minutes flat. She once tried to get me to play it when I was drunk, and speaking truthfully, I told her I was not as smart as I let on. She had a really great job, a nice car, and white teeth that emanated the most beautiful smile with only one dimple. I have met many girls since her, but none quite like her. She was kind, sweet, endearing and considerate. She came at a time in my life when all I wanted to do was flail, drink whiskey and numb the pain.
