I'm confused by the WC search feature. Every now and then I want to drag up an old thread to reread a comment or something like that. I have trouble finding them though!
Here's an example, I wanted this thread:
http://www.wondercafe.ca/discussion/parenting/cord-blood
I put in "cord blood" 2 results pop up, not including the above post. It's the title and was also tagged with cord blood. I've also tried to get to old threads using the tags, and that's usually not very helpful either.
If I don't use quotes I get 5 pages, again the above topic does not show up. Neither does Chansen's thread where he has discussed cord blood as well.
A google search usually works though. I just tend to use it last as I expect to get too many results, and figured using the WC site would just be easier.

I use google as well. For those who don't know, search for SEARCHTERM SITE:WONDERCAFE.CA in google.

Also, when posting here, hit "Save" once, or risk the dreaded double post.

I always found the WC search pretty slow and not very helpful. That's an interesting idea using Google. I've also found threads in Google Images when I've stumbled on a pic I posted in the past, a bit alarming, but oh well.

I don't know why, but I'm always a little surprised when google works so well for finding something off of any forum.
If only google scholar worked so well for old or embargoed articles! lol
