Page 39 - Observer - article.
It amazes me that the Observer can write an article about Wondercafe.ca when the word is it is going to close.
There are some things in this article that I disagree with.
1."a blaze of sometimes controversial national advertising about seven years ago. It will close with much less fanfare this June." - For one thing there was advertising in the beginning but several years in - no advertising. No marketing. In fact , there is advertising in this issue. Why would any one come if they read it is closing in June.
First, of all when I first logged on to WC, I didn't know much about a computer but here I am jumping around the internet and in general, doing all kinds of things I never expected.
I have learned about different religions and non- religions.
I have found it is okay to disagree if you do it with class.
I will think of more.
What about you?
I'm confused by the WC search feature. Every now and then I want to drag up an old thread to reread a comment or something like that. I have trouble finding them though!
Here's an example, I wanted this thread:
http://www.wondercafe.ca/discussion/parenting/cord-blood
I put in "cord blood" 2 results pop up, not including the above post. It's the title and was also tagged with cord blood. I've also tried to get to old threads using the tags, and that's usually not very helpful either.
Has anyone noticed when they try to start a positive thread here, it can turn negative quite quickly?
It isn't all bad, sometimes the negativity can bring in great discussion or at least provide useful information. I'm guilty of doing it myself at times.
Sometimes it would just be nice for some things to stay positive though!
