Spam

I have a question for all you computer geeks.  I recieved a message (in my email, nothing WC related) that looks like spam, but it's possible it's a legit message.  The odd thing is that my email address was not used for the message.  I suppose someone could have set up a forwarding address with my email but the odd thing is that the recipient email is one based out of the university I am at (and was sent to my hotmail account, not my university one).

Is this a new type of spam, or just an odd coincidence?

It could also be that one address was put in the "To" field and many more, including yours, in the "BCC" field

I would suspect SPAM myself...

I'm with GordW on this one. It's the old trick of putting a dummy address in To: and a bunch of other addresses in blind copy (BCC:). Unless you know the name in the From: field and can confirm with them that they sent it legitimately, off to Deleted Items with it.

And did anyone else start singing the Monty Python "Spam" song when you saw this thread or I am really in need of that vacation I'm leaving for on Monday?

I must have gotten on some kind of list from something university related (which is odd as I would use my university email typically) - I got 2 more today.  Thanks for the reminder about the BCC.
