Wilmar Court wins Energy Conservation Award at the Green Toronto Awards

Wilmar Court Goes Solar: On April 23, Wilmar Court, a seniors apartment building developed by the former Wilmar Heights United Church congregation in Scarborough, had the official launch of their rooftop solar panels. That same night, Wilmar Court received the Energy Conservation award at the Green Toronto Awards presentation.

That is so cool.

 

This seniors building was developed by my uncle and a committee from his church.  It was so important to him and then as it was completed he had a stroke.  His ashes are scattered in a memorial garden for him, Lornes Garden.  He woudl be so proud to know the building is thriving and advancing.
