Spread the word, people: there's Spam flying around the internet CLAIMING to be from ADP.
Danger Danger: Do Not Open!! Delete Delete!!
ADP will NEVER email a treasurer, or minister, or anyone about their personal account, business or pastoral charge account: Delete the Spam. Much like the now (hopefully easily recognized) Nigerian prince scam, this method uses a Very well used service provider (1/5 people in North America have a human resource related service, either payroll or other service, from ADP)
If you aren't sure, then CALL ADP: 1-877-377-4784.

Thought it was odd since they need permission to talk to me on the phone that they would suddenly be all openly communicative.

Exactly! There are clues, of course, for those that will carefully read this email, but PLEASE SHARE WIDELY: Delete!

ADP?
Atlantic Dental Plan?
Assistive Devices Program?
Association des Diplomes de Polytechnique?
Rich blessings.

Automatic Data Processing.
They are the firm which ensures that Pastoral Charges pay their clergy.
While non-payment of clergy was not a widespread issue it happened enough to be problematic.

Assistive Devices Program?
My company does much of our business with the Assistive Devices Program (most of our patients are funded through them). Back when I started, one of our divisions (which is no longer part of the group) was using ADP for payroll. Confusing to be sure.

Too funny Mendella. When I did a student OT placement at what is now Southlake Hospital I learned about the ADP you are referring too! Alberta calls it AADL Alberta Aids to Daily Living.
BC has the AT-Home Program for selct children-not sure what there is for adults in BC.

Folks: If you work with ADP (97% of our pastoral charges and ministry sites), you may be surprised and alarmed about ADP emailing you directly and asking for a link to be clicked on. Please just Delete the email.
Royal Bank, ScotiaBank...I've seen all these organizations 'hacked' or 'phishing' or otherwise trying to infect and undermine your computer, your identity and/or your financial well being.
ADP may be 'jargon' but it's 'jargon' for about 20% of North America; it's also the legal name of the organization, so I'm not sure how one can be more clear...
(Just delete the email.)
