Poetry is not my forte.
Forwarned is forearmed.
Such tiny hands for holding
Such a tiny head for knowing
His nuts he should be stowing
Fluffy little squirrel.
Such large eyes for our beholding
A large debt we are owing
My computer screen is glowing
From the light of yonder squirrel
For peace he was entreating
Midst this forum's yelping and its bleating
For him there's no retreating
Well met and well done squirrel
To new trees he makes his journey
To new ventures he doth scurry
Oh but come again and hurry
So we can sit and watch the world.
Grace and peace to you on unwritten pages of a new and exciting chapter.
I will miss your perspective.
John

Ok, I usually stay out of these corny things ;)
But this time I have to say...
Cute.

Blessings EZed. God be with you til we meet again.
P.S. I too would have paid tribute with a poem had I been able to think of an appropriate word that rhymes with squirrel...

Goodbye EzEd. I could have written you a song but maybe the melody might have gotten lost over internet. ;) Best wishes.

(Waves a hankie as he exits and crosses the brook) Farewell, thou stout and stalwart Squirrel. Truely thou hast inspired and informed us. Thou shalt be sorely missed!
Okay, he's not stout, but I'd sure be knighting him for valour, etc. Where's that hanky, I feel a tear coming on...

Ezed Here is one for you
A horse can't pull when kicking
This fact I merely mention
And he cant kick while pulling
Which is my chief contention
Let's imitate the good old horse
And lead a life that's fitting
Just pull an honest load
There'll be no time for kicking.
Ok a squirrel is not a horse. All the best and may the Lord be with you in all your endeavours. God bless
