Linda Kuschnik writes: In 2005 I followed my passion for chaplaincy and became the United Church chaplain at the Halifax Infirmary Hospital, Nova Scotia. In the summer of 2012, I became the spiritual care professional with the Multi-Organ Transplant Program at Toronto General Hospital, Toronto, Ontario. As an associate teaching supervisor of clinical pastoral education, I enjoy journeying with others as they explore what it means to provide spiritual and religious care to those in need.

Tom Sherwood is a United Church minister who has served both congregations and campus ministries. In 2008, he established the Canadian Campus Chaplaincy Centre as a resource to colleagues nationally and internationally. In 2009, he was appointed McGeachy Senior Scholar and commissioned to “Listen to The Echo” (The Echo is a term given to offspring of Baby Boomers), helping the church to hear the voice of young adults who do not participate in church life. Materials from that research project and other resources for ministry are available without charge at www.campuschaplaincy.ca. Tom’s prayers in Diving Deeply are taken from the Call to Purpose approved and adopted by the 39th General Coucil of The United Church of Canada in 2006.
