Am I reading this wrong?  Does it really mean to exclude interested men?

Yes, women need more education on this topic, but so do the guys.

In that I have sheltered women escaping abusive relationships many times in my life, I feel men should be allowed to attend.

I'm male and I can understand why it may be important for a seminar on violence against women and girls to exclude men.

Some men might want to argue, be contrarian, or try to theorize about this issue.  Some men might even believe that it is their right to abuse their wives or daughters.

The issues around misogyny are entrenched in cultures and religions.  It is a problem that is not going away.

It is true that men who are allies to the feminist movement can have something beneficial to offer but I respect women's need to have a safe space free of male domination.
