If you want the identity of the doctors (opinions)   or owners running  the Child Safety  website  I believe you could obtain their credentials by emailing them, at least that's what it says.

 

Autism is really in the News the last few years I believe. My grandson was a friend of a boy  at school with autism from Nursery School to grade 6. The child  was lucky to have a full time caregiver at school and at home. His brother also had a lesser degree of autism. Luckily their parents were both doctors, one being a psychologist. They had a third son who escaped autism. When I last saw them at their son's grade 6 grad they had a baby girl with them adopted from China....so cute!

 

 My grandson's autistic  friend got up on stage and sang : "Its A Wondeful World", it brought the house down, we all cried. He was unable to communicate but he loved to sing. He would start to sing at school and the care giver had a hard time getting him to stop.

I'm thinking that for many folks  on the WC this  is the first forum they have posted on or been familiar with?  I have been on other forums since 2004 where I have seen these same type of  topics being discussed so it isn't new to me. Its discussion....the good, the bad, and the ugly.

 

One forum I used to frequent fairly regularly was Beliefnet until they changed their format and lost many of their regular posters. I was just looking at it again.I used to really enjoy their debates. I see they have a conspiracy forum which I haven't checked out yet.

 

Beliefnet contains the whole world I think......:)...I used to know some of the user names on their forums  and their characters. I recall there were flame wars back in the day. I don't know how it is now. You can check it out for some interesting reading. I am a member if I can find my log in info. I don't think I ever knew who actually runs the website.

Why make it so hard to find in the first place?  Why not say on the home page or the read me page who is responsible for the site and articles that are posted to it?

 

At any rate it would appear that the author of most articles posted on Child Health Safety is one Clifford Miller  He is fond of claiming that the article by Brian Deer which demonstrated Wakefield's fraudulent study is a hatchet job and a lie.

 

That is all I need to know really.

I just want to acknowledge your response.

 

Clifford Miller apparently is a lawyer with his address on  the Child  Health Safety website matching the one on his own website in England. It seems he may also have an office in Florida if I'm not confused ?  Another party on the website is  named as John Stone.  I don't have a reason to be very interested in this type of a  medical website so I didn't really pay attention to it.

 

Sometimes I think perhaps I don't take the net seriously enough meaning I walk away and forget what I've read. It  hasn't made much of an impact on me forgetting that it may have made  a more important  impact on others. Sorry about that.

Flight 370......what a mystery, eh?  If I give  my wildest  imagination full rein I like to think it was plucked out of the sky by a giant mother space ship.....the ultimate trip...I'm kidding. I recall there was a psychic lady in the U.S. who was convinced a space ship was coming to earth  that would be seen by half of the U.S.A..... it would be so large.

 

 

Funny.....then the people went on to speculate how the inhabitants of the earth and the gov't  would react to it. I believe the concensus was that people would be terrified of it and the U.S. would declare war against it. Too bad!

We were in mourning here when the angels called Tony home. Its a pretty rough show but there's some great story  lines and characters  in it. He was a wonderful person in real life, very kind and  highly praised. God grant unto him perpetual light and peace be upon him.

It masquerades as a medical website.  It is more interested in conspiracy than it is medicine.

 

Sites like this are dangerous and prey on the fears of parents who are ignorant.  How many children need to die before frauds like this are shut down?  Because children are getting very sick and children are dying because of the lies of Miller, Wakefield and McCarthy.

This reminds me of the guy who tends to write about the same thing in our local rag. He constantly calls Suzuki and other people who believe in climate change green zombies. One of his favourite sources of information that he uses to combat the zombies is a website called Friends of Science. So I guess if you have a bias and you want all the green zombies as this guy calls them to be wrong you will grasp at any straws out their that will support your view be they credible or not. Some Christians that cherish the book of Revelation don't seem to be too much different from the guy I just mentioned.You just can't trust the Govment unless of course they our on your side.

We definately get manipulated by the media. Reading about the crisis in Ukraine, as an example. I don't trust government/ the big decision makers on either side or the media to be giving us the whole picture. If you read some reports things are functioning more or less as normal and the areas where fighting is breaking out are few- like if there was a stand off on a street corner somewhere on the other side of town and you aren't even aware of it unless you turn the TV on. Yet the media makes it look like all of Eastern Ukraine has descended into dystopian hell. That will make it more likely for unrest to spread I think. People living in eastern Ukraine are getting two different sides from the Russian and Ukranian TV- both fearmongering- the majority of people are scared and just want the mess to go away they're not interested in fighting but the fear makes it more likely that it will go on- neither side in power are very productive in cooperating and working things out. This feeds the 'need' for war, for dividing and conquering by polarizing sides. One thing that bothers me is that military spending ups GDP and gives reason to either create or build up such a mess. Really, when economies are struggling the war machine generates GDP growth and the impression of economic stimulus. Not so much for the people already economically depressed just trying to go about their business as violence spreads. The media get everyone whipped into a frenzy. Just say no to that. Look at it rationally. I realize every now and then I read an article and I'm getting played- so I go looking for different views and try to get the whole picture. It is disconcerting, not good at all what's happening- but remember the role the media plays in generating conflict. For money, ratings, viewers, contracts, etc.- and to please their advertisers. It's not so much a conspiracy it's just what they do. The banality of evil, as George mentioned.

My thoughts above about media bias (propoganda being the extreme of bias) relate to that CBC video about Haarp and biased reporting. Although generally I trust CBC to not be too bad- but every now and then maybe they need a ratings boost. Problem is then people start believing climate change is not our responsibility because some sinister force is plotting it.

I tried to click on the video to open it in YouTube so I could read the comments, which should be hilarious. But clicking on the logo did nothing. It's a conspiracy.

If there's Illuminati symbolism in The Simpsons, I can almost guarantee it's their writers taking a jab at the conspiracy crowd. Isn't paying so much attention to these symbols and the people who wear them (even if they represent an opposing side) a kind of idolatry in itself? And do then people build up Madonna's idol status with that attention- she manipulates people with the use of symbols to make money, to get a fan/ consumer/ patron base. So do religions, and so do advertisers with logos. We pour our attention into the symbol- they get our money. Some individuals and groups, though, put it to better use than others.

The illuminati symbol is hardly a great screaming secret. If I scrawl one out in Paint and use it as my avatar, does that mean I'm in the Illuminati or just that I'm a bit of a creep? Madonna appropriates religious and other imagery right and left so her wearing any given symbol means very little, IMHO. And, honestly, if you're a secret society, using a symbol widely known to be associated with you sounds ... well ... dumb. If there is an Illluminati, they are likely laughing wildly at those who use the symbol since they likely have their own set of symbols that no one outside the group knows and they let this one be out there as a diversion.

 

Back in the 80s I used to play a cool little card game called Illuminati where each player was an evil global conspiracy trying to take control of various organizations in order to build up more influence than the other players' evil global conspiracies. Great fun and we killed off a few boring afternoons with it. The whole thing was framed as satire and did it very, very well. But, again, if I was the Illuminati, I would have bankrolled the damn thing to help divert attention from what I am really about and really up to.
