Special day today, my firstborn turns 15 so I'm baking a cake for him also.
Upon consultation with the lad and taking into accout certain Lenten practices of my fellow WonderCafians I have opted for the subtle elegance of . . .
A White Cake with a delicate vanilla frosting. Replete with purple Lenten sprinkles.
Typically, the Wondercake has been awarded to individuals who have had outstanding weeks. While I like the back patting encouragement that provides it causes me slight works righteousness aversion flutters.
So I thought that I would be more gracious and award the cake without any consideration of personal merit. Not that the person I have chosen has none. In fact they do and at times it has stood out. But I'm not awarding the cake that way.
The recipient of this week's Wondercake is . . . .
Atheisto.
I strongly suspect he could use some fast food energy as he navigates his way through the minefield of religious expression and the well intentioned lunatics that are constantly taking strips off of each other.
Eat, enjoy, and let the man be the recipient of many good wishes and much good cheer.
Grace and peace to you all.
John
PS reminder to Atheisto. You bake and award the cake for next Saturday. Enjoy.

Hmmmm......
If Atheisto can't see the wondercake and we can't prove that there is a wondercake, we are lacking evidence. So will Atheisto actually accept this wondercake made by Rev. John? I sincerely hope so. And he'll get the opportunity to make a wondercake to pass on next week! Interesting.
And yes SG, I agree. I don't believe there are any calories in cake!

Atheisto, all you have to do is bake a WonderCake and dedicate it to someone whom you have found doing thought-provoking posts. The revs had it last week, Serena and Sylviac and StephenGordon all have had them I believe, and I'm not sure who else. SighSnootles and Mad Monk? Anyway, pick one or two or five people to award the cake to and announce it on next Saturday. The new nominee then gets to figure out who they will bake a cake and so on. Hope you feel better soon, but not so better that you stop posting :)

Since Atheisto's cake doesn't really exist, yet he acknowledge the gift of the cake, that leads me to believe that either A) Atheisto doesn't exist, or B) someone is believing in the meaning of something which is unseen. I'll share a slice. Since the cake doesn't really exist, does that make its calories a fiction? If they don't really exist, does that lower the calories I actually consumed? So if I just took 250 calories off, then maybe I'll have a second slice. Now look who's getting delusional.

Lol, Rev James, that was amazing! I am just going to have to bone up on my existencial theory to write anything nearly so clever! I bow to the master!
