serial killers deserve capital punishment.  Period. He and Robert Pickton should both get the death penalty rather than our tax payers dollars keeping him alive and fed for the next who knows how long.

Here is the problem.  A justice system is not, and should not be, based on giveing people "what they deserve".  THat is a revenge/retribution system.

The justice system is based on saying "we as a society have decided that the consequence for act "a" is this....".  What people feel is deserved is kind of irrelelvant.

That being said.  No one deserves to be murdered, whether by an individual or the state.

I wish that Canada had a sentence of natural life for crimes/criminals as awful as this one. You never know what a parole board is going to do and I can't even imagine the stress of the victims and their families as the first and next and next and next ... parole board hearings approach. I also wonder why his sentences are concurrent.

 which is one of the reasons why I think Capital Punishment would be a good thing.

Wife? And you will perhaps think twice about letting this monster stay alive.  I am speaking as a mother of daughters, and as a woman.
