One year I made a resolution to read 50 books and I read 28 which was 28 more than the year before, so I'm counting that as keeping it. That was 1995, I think.
The thing is, I love New Year's ...just for the sake of the resolutions! I love new beginnings. Like waking up to fresh snowfall. I take advantage of several "new years'" all through the year: Easter Sunday; July 1st; September; First Sunday of Advent, Jan 1st. Lots ot times to "start again".

Over the years I have made new year's resolutions but unfortunately I have not been very good at keeping them. So this year I didn't make any - I want to accomplish many things this year -

I find that taking time in January and again at the beginning of summer to make a combined "to do"and wish list really helps. If I don't write down what I want to do, then I do nothing. I don't always get it all done, but at least some of it happens. It's one way to manifest and make it real.

In 2005 I made a resolution to be a vegetarian for a year. I've been a vegetarian for 2 years now and counting. This year I promise to walk at least 30 mins a day. Doing good so far!

Every year I make a resolution sometime around New Years. I work on it for a long while, then things come up, more things come up. Then I plain forget my resolution. When I saw the poll, I had to think for ten minutes before I remembered the resolution I made this year. I cannot remember any other resolution I have made, so I do not know if I have ever kept them.
