For me, the questions appears to be 'which came first - the chicken or the egg?' I think one thing fuels another, and maybe the keys needed to solve the wars & battles & genocide going around are the same ones that would reconfigure our economy (therefore our retirements & so on). The environment would be better attended as well. Families - perhaps that is outside of the causal loop, but not always.

Environment for me. Acheiving peace will be useless if we have no place to live. I don't really think there is much hope on either front, though.

I hear ya. I've had the chat about resource depletion + global conflict + population explosion + economic depression + climate change = result is we're screwed.
Not that I don't pull more than my weight for the environment and I'm very nice to people, and i had 2 kids, not more, and I am careful with MY pennies.
Perhaps the flipside of what you said is that if people are hurting enormously, with no food, no hope, no justice, and cowboys deciding their fate for them, what kind of a world is that to live in?
Then again, we might as well try to leave a nice world for the other creatures after we've made ourselves extinct.

The world will probably heal it's self after we are extinct... But will keep on suffering a lot before that!

Can I interpret "the economy" line as our consumer society with short-term decision-making which have long-term impact?
If so, then, my choice becomes a lot easier!

I always wish there were an All of the Above choice in these polls. It's ridiculous to think that we can't be concerned about all of these things. In this case My Family comes as close as anything, because every one of these problems will affect my family.

Being the best christian i can be and gettin close to god. All the things that mankind does will come to pass and theres little anyone can do about any of it.. worry about salvation and my walk with god because really, life is after this life, god has another place much more important than this classroom world. Issues can take away from devotion time to god, dont be distracted by yet another worldly thing.
