But I voted Boston. I doesn't say who you're cheering for. It says who you think will win.

Of course it matters, Gord. How can you think of asking a question like that? This will be the most important event on the planet, at least till October, when it starts all over again....

That's one of the things aboot myths: not everyone has to be a part of them. Not be a part of the myth-structure, and, well...things fall apart. Thus, an importance of religion :3 Happier people tend to live longer, more productive, less stress on society, lives.
Among the Stanley Cup mythos, the Canucks have never had a 'first time'.
The first time is glorious :3

The Canucks haven't had a first time, but Vancouver has as the "Millionaires". ( that was referring to the average Jill's future in average home Real Estate where a four bedroom, 3 bath will fetch you a cool million.

* back then it was called Warbucks row, of course

Can anybody here spell "Corruption" properly. It might seem something like "N H L L E A G U E .
The unwritten rule of the series
Boston gets to hit and Vancouver doesn't get to hit
Boston gets to whine and Vancouver doesn't get to whine
Boston gets to gloat and play underdog while beating the shit out of Vancouver who doesn't get to fight back or even have an opinion.
And I dunno, but one of the biggest unwritten rules of all doesn't seem to come to play at all in this series;
that the team that can only win on account of dirty reff'ing is not a team of winners; they're whiners/losers. Sawdust heads or as my step dad used to say "Dorf niggles" -- AngloGerman for "nailheads".

Hockey has turned into a rubbish game, in my view. It's ugly, violent and warped.

Was just in downtown Vancouver and W O W -- the crowds are amazingly HOOOGE and PREDOMINANT. The Vancouver Public Library (to get an image of it, just imagine a Roman Coliseum in rhyolite pink) closed earlier because people were going into the library to see one of the 4 big screen tvs set up.
I was also thinking (I do that, sometimes) of hey, when the Canucks win, and everyone is so cheering and stuff...just imagine if we learned how to do that voluntarily? Wouldn't that be great? :3
Anway, no matter who wins, HUMANITY wins again!
(Though, Boston is proving that bullying works -- maybe that is why there are so many attack ads -- because they work so well)
