I  hope for and wish to God that I could vote "yes" on this. I'm very sad for our collective treatment of Omar Khadr. In my view, it is to our shame that he has suffered as a result of the "luck" of his birth, the "luck" of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, the "luck" of being scapegoated by a superpower, the "luck" of being a citizen of a country that doesn't want to take normal, compassionate steps to defends its citizens and the "luck" of being caught in a morass of illegal and unethical processes...my heart goes out to him.

Shame on Harper for allowing Canada to be the only Western country that has not repatriated it's Guantanamo prisoners.

Shame on Harper for defying the Supreme Court of Canada, and through them, the people of Canada.
