A sermon on John 10:22-30, preached at Bishop Cronyn Memorial Church (Anglican) in London, Ontario on April 25, 2010
I had lunch with a good friend this week, someone whose life has not been easy, and whose spirituality I find very inspiring. In the course of our conversation, he told me that he was planning on taking a one year "sabbatical" from attending his church, and perhaps from attending any church. He had many reasons for this, but in the end it seemed to come down to a deep intuition that it was best for him to have some time away at this point in his life. Then, he asked me if I thought this was "ok."
