300 million for an election when some people are struggling to find their next meal.
Demonstrates how far out of touch politicians are with the struggles of people.

Here is one ironic point - if the conservatives had put that to the 700 million ( they gave 400 million) that the NDP had asked for on one issue we might not have an election - but I am glad, anything to get rid of the unethical conservatives ( re Oda).

An election is an election. I will follow the campaign with some interest and plenty of amusement and then cast my vote, which is largely already decided unless I see some dramatic reason to change it. So I'm not excited but also not as exasperated as some are. Until we get either a majority or a coalition, elections every 2-3 years will be the norm. Realistically, this has been a very long, surprisingly stable minority government compared to other minorities during my lifetime.
Is it a waste of money as some as saying? Only the result will tell. If something changes significantly, then maybe not. If it's another Conservative minority, then likely yes, since anyone reading polls over last year or so could tell that's probably how it was going to go.
