Please help out with HAE Day on May 16, even if you do so before or after by
1. Posting a smile, and sharing info about HAE Day
and/or
2. Donating blood or plasma.
HAE Day will mark a month after I started treatment, and it's made a big difference for me!
I have been diagnosed with Hereditary Angioedema (HAE). It's both a blood and immune disorder, as a protein in the blood, C1 inhibitor, is either at too low of a concentration or doesn't function properly so the immune system is 'on' at inappropriate times. This results in swelling, and can occur in various parts of the body. It can be life threatening if there is facial or throat swelling.
