Interesting, indeed. check the threads. The only subjects which really attract the faithful (and the atheists) are irrelevant and/or unkowable ones like - oh - does God have toenails? Will the Streets of the New Jerusalem really be paved with gold?

Does our faith have any application to the wider world we live in until that day when we go to heaven and everybody else goes to hell?

In the Batman comics, the Joker is evil. He enjoys making people suffer. It is often the suffering as much as the material rewards that gives him pleasure. In real life, We all knew kids like that in school. But as we look at the suffering around the world in this century, very little of it seems to be done for pure joy of seeing people suffer.
