In the hope that this just might be interesting to someone I am going to post a ritual that I have practiced every single day since July 10th 1970.
Before this evening I have never mentioned or wrote about this to anyone.
Follow the Sun....
In private I face West. I think about dawn, the begining of light, the necessity of the sun for life, warmph, growth. Feel why so many for so long thought of the Sun as a benivelant God.
Turn to the South. Think of the sun overhead. Noon. At its maximen power...Be here Now.
This from the Uncomfortable In Church thread
"Christmas Eve - I have seen communion served in a church where there was only one Christmas Eve Service - filled with strangers - most were unused to the ritual of the church - they looked very uncomfortable. I think this leads me to start another thread." CrazyHeart
So what I am wondering is how much of ritual and music and readings and other things should we give up to be welcoming to others who come to the church?
