The folks at the North American Sentinel Dispatch Journal Times have a tongue-in-cheek article up concerning the upcoming General Conference.
Epiphany Sunday, Jan 9 2011.
Hi Gang!
I would like to talk about disputable matters.
I'm really not interested in listing what you believe are or are not disputable matters. Identifying disputable matters shouldn't be all that difficult. Snoop around any dispute and voila.
No, what I am really interested in is how disputable matters are supposed to be resolved.
What does your interpretation of scripture tell you about how you are supposed to win the contest of disputable matters?
Noelle Boughton
I love making resolutions. It gives me a sense that I’m driving my life forward. I can decide what I want, plan it, and make a change happen – countering my life’s drift.
But, like most people, I find it hard to live up to all of my expectations. Every year, I check the resolutions I keep in my datebook and check off the ones I achieve – and, every year, I carry some forward, feeling I failed because I didn’t achieve those.
