I could have taken the cloth. When I was sixteen, our tiny church (Crystal Springs UC in Montreal) had a dynamic minister who convinced eight of us to enter the ministry. I was all set. But there was a catch. Rules for theological school were tough, then. You had to have a high school leaving certificate. I didn't. Still don't. So I had to become an office boy instead.

Here is the fictional dilemma
You live in a very small house. It is the middle of a Canadian Winter - cold and snowing. You have three children - ages 7,9, and 12.
On pay day, your TV conks out and an hour later your washer and dryer quit ( They are 15 years old)
You have enough money to buy one thing this payday and two weeks from now you have enough money to buy the rest.
You have very caring neighbours and friends living on your block.
