The return of fascism

Recently, leaders of big business in New Brunswick organized an "an economic  summit" to advise the government and us great unwashed on how to run the economy (with all the implications that has for social policy.) Various groups were invited to take part. These included business leaders, community groups (vaguely defined) the local neo-conservative "think tank", university presidents, government leaders, etc. to represent the whole society.

new blog

I have just started a new blog. The URL is unfortunate. I wrote in when I was angry, then found I could not change it. Anyway, it deals with how and why newspapers mislead us - at least, that's the starting point.

it's      http://themonctongrimes-dripdrain.blogspot.com

Also a reminder for Moncton and area readers. I have a current events group that meets the first week of each month at Moncton Library at 2:pm. The next meeting, then, is May 6.

Woolastook Presbytery Executive

This offers a first step in the direction of online decision making. We will have to give it a test run to see how it functions. If anyone of you reading this has any counsel I will be glad to hear from you.

How can we help each other in a depression?

The economic newsletter I read yesterday was full of dire predictions of falling production, no consumer confidence and global layoffs.  I remembered what it felt like to be suddenly searching for a job.

I want to start a Networking Group for Christian Professionals

Hello Everyone!

I am looking to start a networking group for professionals.  I am a financial advisor, and find that I get requested for referrals to real estate agents, lawyers, accountants, and mortgage brokers.  I have discovered the Shepards Guide is strictly used for advertising - and not everyone who actually advertises in there is actually Christian - they just advertised to reach "more people."
