Panhandlers

This year my wife and I dressed up to go to her Christmas office party which was being held at a prestigous club downtown.  She wore an understated elegant black outfit and wore my black tux with a festive vest and red bowtie,  We were dressed to the nines.  My wife was sprting her pearls and a lot of gold and I was wearing my goldwatch and diamond and saphire rings. After a tremendous meal of rare roast beef, smoked salmon, shrimp, baked ptatoes and salads we listened to the piano player a while and then headed home.

Are You a Philanthropist?

Are you a philanthropist? A generous giver?

When you walk past a street busker, do you toss a loonie or a toonie in their case?

Have you ever paid it forward in the line at Tim Horton’s?

Teacups

Last night, my sister and I went through Mom's tea cups.

Mom had been wanting us to sit down and select which ones we wanted for a long period of time, but, somehow, we never got to it.  Either too busy, or...it felt too much like it was a recognition we would be losing her.

Mom had 38 teacups.

There were the very old ones from her mother, and the more recent ones given to her by her children when we were young.

There were the 50th wedding aniversary & 25th wedding anniversary ones.
