My father recently passed on and I really really want to think that he is happy and that this earth was not ALL he will experience as a being. My dad could sometimes be unpleasant - but his essence was very good, a great grandfather and fantastic with us as kids.
I was at work the other night talkin to two of my coworker/friends and I'm not sure how, but the topic of animals going to heaven came up. It was a pretty heated debate on the yesses and nos and reasons why. I came to my own conclusions about it but i'm pretty sure i'll change my mind about this one.
Its not something that gets talked about after you've passed the age of seven. All Dogs Go To Heaven was a pretty convincing movie, of course. But now i want to know what you think, oh wondercafe writers!

Where will we go when we die? Heaven? Hell? Spirit World? or do we just rot in the ground?
This question has always bothered me.
I do believe there is a God, but no Heaven or Hell. Does that make me a bad person? I do believe there is a afterlife for us, but where?
When people died 2100-3000 years ago, where did they go if Jesus wasn't born yet?
Sorry for all these questions, I'm not a very religious person.
Most of my best ideas come to me while in the shower. Most of my worst ideas also come to me while in the shower. My point – most of my ideas comes to me while in the shower. Like most epiphanies, especially ones that happen in the shower, this one could easily be shot down with one sentence – I am looking for that one sentence. So theists, please help me with this one. This is not an argument against the existence of god/God/G-d. It is an argument against the incompatibility of earthly suffering and heaven.
I've been wondering about this lately. I believe in life after death, but I don't think we'll all be plucking harps in the clouds once inside the pearly gates with a long-bearded God. So where do we go after we die and what will it be like? What do you think heaven is like?
