well, the other day I was surfing the internet, and I saw an interesting comment on a "yahoo! Answers" question. the question was asking if they were straight. they were also having gender identity issues. they said;
if I imagine being a guy, with a girl, it feels ok
but if I imagine being a guy, with a guy, I have this strange sense of "not right"ness
and if I imagine being a girl, with a girl, I get the same feeling
but if I imagine being a girl, with a guy, it feels ok
I would like to discuss the Uganada bill and focus on actions, question, status related to same.
Some wish to discuss whether it is appropriate for us to judge another country or intercede.
Given that, I am posting this thread, so I can use it in my links.
I will post comments from the thread here later, or others may wish to.
I was looking for a modern translation of a bible that was more suited to where I am in my life right now (19).
I saw 2 really cool New Living Translation bibles, 1 for teenage girls and 1 for (university) students. They were both awesome bibles and I really liked them.
What I especially liked was that there was a large section of questionable topics in the back (called "Is it okay?" in the teenager bible), and then references to where "answers" to these issues could be found in the bible.
Being a lesbian going to an all-girls catholic school, I've been overwhelmed with support from every one of my classmates and have yet to hear a single remark against my homosexuality except for from one girl. On the other hand, reading through some posts here, i was equally overwhelmed at how many homophobic people were out there and willing to comment against GLBTQ people, and I do realize that I have been incredibly lucky.
