Germany's Protestant Church's on Wednesday elected Margot Kaessmann as its first female leader.

Today, to my surprise I found out that the church (Lutherans)  that gave birth to all Protestant Churches has until today not have a women lead them.

It always surprises me that Christianity outside of the UCC is behind us on some issues.

Reformation Sunday is a time to reflect upon our Protestant heritage, and to ponder what lessons we can learn from our Reformer ancestors. This year marks the 500th anniversary of John Calvin.

Hello everyone.

In my religion class, we've been assigned a Christian denomination and have been told to research. It was my first choice to the United Church of Canada, because there are many churches in my local area that define themselves as United.

I just had some questions, and was hoping someone here would answer them.

 It is an evil lie from the father of lies satan that there is no hell. The reason people fear the existance of a Holy God is because they know in their hearts " it is appointed unto man once to die and after this the judgment." So like a man who fears he has a disease will deny the visit of a doctor so the atheist denies the visit of God. Hell is not a place of torture it is a place of torment( self-inflicted ) God did not create hell for man but for satan and his angels, man is free to follow him if he chooses.
