Yep, it's Star Wars Day!

It's been known for a while now that George Lucas, the brains behind Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Willow and, whether we like it or not, the movie version of Howard the Duck, wanted to retire or at least get away from his massive legacy to focus on smaller projects. Now he's taken probably the biggest step in doing so - selling Lucasfilm, his production company and the heart of his film empire.

I've moved my response to a new thread in order to stop further derailing of the excellent thread about Hawking's views on God. This thread may be used to discuss Star Wars, Star Trek, and other s-f'y stuff.
