When making decisions, be all-inclusive

I don’t like to namedrop, but I will. I had lunch last week with Owen Sound Mayor Deb Haswell.

She was guest speaker at the meeting of the Rotary Club of Owen Sound. Politicians like to speak to groups of people.

It’s more time effective to speak to a group and get their point across.

Over lunch, we had many conversations, including the possible transfer of the Owen Sound harbour to private interests.

Ad reinforces stereotypes, both good and bad.

The night Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was shot and killed, my father got into a very animated discussion with some fellow Quebecois in Los Angeles.

He was a attending a professional conference and was staying in the same hotel (although a dozen floors above) the kitchen where Kennedy was murdered by a lone assassin. He didn’t know anything until the next morning. But earlier in the evening he had been to dinner with some fellow professionals from Quebec.

And Sunday Begat Monday ... And So On ... - September 15 sermon

Now about your love for one another we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other. And in fact, you do love all of God’s family throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more, and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. (1 Thessalonians 4:9-12)
