When are the Christmas wondchoir practices starting I have my guitar and alto voice all warmed up?

On December 20th my neighbour's eight year old daughter died.  She had Rhett's syndrome and if I understand everything correctly the girl's respitory system and heart muscles were getting weaker.

I remember when the baby was born she seemed normal for the first year and then began regressing.  The first diagnosis was autism.  The next was t-retts.  The final diagnosis was when the girl was in Kindergarten and carried a death sentence for before the girl would turn 10.

Well, in true Punkins fashion, my Christmas wishes come after the actual event.

And no, this time it cannot be attributed to procrastination, as shocking as that may seem.

Hello One and All;

Come into my Between Christmas and New Year's Party.  There is lots of virtual alcohol, eggnog.

All are invited: Conservatives, Atheists, Liberals, Agnostics, and Enlightened Ones whoever the hell else wants to come!!!!

This party is in honour of Serena, our resident Drama Queen.  (and because I need an excuse to drink) Where would we be without her?

This will be the first Christmas that I ever spent without my Dad.  The whole month of December was hard.  Listening to Christmas Carols in the malls and looking at Christmas decorations only brought back painful memories.  Last night only Christmas shows were on tv and only Christmas music was playing on the radio.

I apologize for the pictures - Santa hasn't brought me that Nikkon Pro AntiShake camera yet - and Redhead kept banging into the choir members in her search for combustibles plus I made the mistake of sitting between GoldenRule and SaulnotPaul who got into a heated discussion about agape love during the intermission and kept jostling my camera - but we all got in tune in the end....

For those of you following the WonderCafe Advent Calendar in the Features section, but sure to check out Graeme Burk's exploration of the dark side of the holiday classic, It's a Wonderful Life. I think he does a great job at looking at why this movie touches so many people (myself included - it's one of my all-time favourites).
