Did you watch Obama's State of the Union?  I was unable to sit through more than half of it.

It was rhetoric even hollower than that he flooded us with two years ago. His policies remain essentially those of George Bush. I cam close to gagging  when he bragged about how American businesses (like banks) were turning huge profits again.

I just listened to this speech by JK Rowling given to Harvard graduates in 2008 and posted by TED in January, 2010.  My daughter found it somehow.  Her message is as challenging as most any sermon I have heard, and her delivery offers insights into connecting with people today.  Her message frames some questions important to our faith stances on a variety of issues.  I hope any who choose to view it enjoy it at least 1/2 as much as I did.
