Draft of Sunday's Message:
A New Heaven and a New Earth 2013 03 31 Easter: Isaiah 65:17-25; Luke 24:1-12
Visitation dreams are a form of grief, but provide hope and may be the person's spirit coming to comfort us. What if the resurrection is a symbol of the life beyond death that comes to us in the spirit through dreams?
Has anyone had a visitation dream?
Does anyone want to comment on this passage " Those who are ashamed of me and of my words in this adultrous and sinful generation, of them the Son of Man will also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels" Verse 38 NRSV
Any help will be appreciated.
I have read many compelling, cogent and highly rational arguments recently regarding the contention that Jesus Christ was not the son of God and did not return from the dead. But I would contend many Christians, including a majority of Christians in the United Church, believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and consider it a cornerstone of their faith.
I put forward the following four points for discussion.
