I'm turning to you for advice because apparently whatever I knew about making new - and true - friends does not apply in my life right now.

I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past five years (with a  6 month break in between).  I had lost two close friendships from my life-before-offspring... and though I mourned those losses, in retrospect I know it was for the best.  And, heart filled with confidence and hope, I set out to make new friends in the circle of moms I had met when I had my first. 

What do you think about talking to your ex? Do you cut all contact after a breakup? Can you ever be "just friends"?

What do you think about dating someone who still hangs out with their ex?

i have this friend. this friend, her name is meghan, has a boyfriend. this boyfriend hates my guts and for reasons that i dont know. now would you stick with him if he began WW3 between him and your friends? i told meghan this and she just wont listen to me. I am a foster kid and i dont think it is right for him to facebook me and tell me off then tell me i dont know how to have real relationships. Then  on top of that he claims to be a Christain. and everyone can see he isn't living as he should be. walk out in public with him..
