Real Trust In Virtual Community

Hi All,

I've been thinking about this a bit of late.

This is what has passed through what I use for a mind. Please excuse the odd bit of rust I'm not really sure where that is coming from.

If you and I were to meet face to face it would probably best be described as awkward.

Awkward for me because I would have to do a lot of mental gymnastics so I could reconcile what I know of you from here with what I learn about you in those first few moments.

Awkward for you because you would be doing likewise.

Who's the Fool?

Hi All,

Way back when in a little thread called "The Danger of Everbody" I mentioned that I didn't like to "go all dad on everyone" and I shared that I have a talent for stating the obvious.

So it isn't that I like to post this or even want to post this. I feel compelled to post this and part of that compulsion stems from some rampant foolishness floating about.

Ode To A Squirrel

Poetry is not my forte.

Forwarned is forearmed.

Such tiny hands for holding
Such a tiny head for knowing
His nuts he should be stowing
Fluffy little squirrel.

Such large eyes for our beholding
A large debt we are owing
My computer screen is glowing
From the light of yonder squirrel

For peace he was entreating
Midst this forum's yelping and its bleating
For him there's no retreating
Well met and well done squirrel

To new trees he makes his journey

The Danger of Everbody

HI,

The topic hooked you didn't it?

I hope what follows is worthy of the bait I laid out.

When things get thick on threads about certain things as they have done, are doing and will continue to do. Do we sense that everyone is out bashing or do we see that there is one or two who have braided whips for their own purposes and are applying them to backsides in their immediate vicinity?

I've read a few posts lately where the poster claims they 'feel' that they are under attack.
