I am interested in opening up a discussion about how your United Church deals with or has dealt with conflict in the past.
We are all familiar with Jesus' admonition to "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." Perhaps he could have qualified that a bit with:
• but don't be too specific and
• but don't expect of others that they do unto you as you do unto them.
Hi All,
The allegation has been made that WonderCafe.ca needs members who generate controversy or else it falls into a routine of tedium.
I am wondering if this is true and if it is why it is true.
Hence this thread and the discussion which will follow.
In this blog entry, I introduce the notion that one's personal identity is inherent self-conflicted, with promises on how to resolve this self-confliction in a later post.
I need help so its a good opportunity for a positive disscussion.
I want to meet guys interested in a long term relationship, possibly leading to marriage.
I know this seems curious that I am asking for help, but I face several barriers I have to overcome to do so.
First I am just learning how to socialise after discovering how being a person with a form of high functioning autism is percived by others.
Hi All,

I am going to withdraw from this forum, because I think it is evil. There is nothing nice about this forum. It is either to ridicule someone, or to further hatred against the fundies.
Hi All,
Over in the Social Forum under Paradox3's thread about the reverend Vosper's new book Riznatts wrote:
Hi All,
Jennybeam, has lept out of the shadows and hit the cafe running.
I see that she is exercising her franchise and demonstrating fundamentalist tolerance by allowing us to read from her thread but demanding we not post to it unless we are Fundamentalists or Moral Absolutists.
I was kind of disappointed to see all the non fundy none moral absolutists hopping on the band wagon as I was wondering if there really was such a huge contingent of fundamentalist moral absolutists lurking in the shadows.
Hi All,
Luke in the 27th verse of the 14th chapter of his gospel records Jesus as saying. "anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple."
Recognizing that participation in the WonderCafe is not limited to those who are attempting to be disciples of Christ I still wonder how the above verse might apply to our virtual community.
In the context of the passage Jesus is commenting upon readiness and preparedness in undertaking certain ventures be they building towers or defending against approaching armies.
Hi All,
Twice in the last little while there has been an attempt to reveal sockpuppetry.
I understand why.
It has burned us as a community and some of us are new to the whole idea that people would feel the need to create another layer of hiddenness to their identity.
At any rate what was sown is being reaped.
Unfortunately they aren't the only ones reaping. We are doing a fair bit of it ourselves.
Seeds of suspicion have been sown how do we avoid the harvest such seeds will yield?
